BREAKING NEWS!!! Seeking new leadership for the Northwest National Show
Horse Association.
Due to the decline in interest and participation, the current NWNSHA leadership
have decided to officially close the club as of July 1, 2009. The
remaining club commitment will be our last Yearling Jackpot Competition to be
held at Midsummer Classic June 2009.
Anyone interested in volunteering to continue the NW National Show Horse Association please email windwalker@kalama.com and jackpot@nwnsha.org
NWNSHA Stallion Service and Jackpot
The
NWNSHA has decided to discontinue the annual stallion service as of June 2007.
However, the Annual Jackpot will continue until 2009. This will allow the
2005 and 2006 NWNSHA Jackpot winners to enter their yearling foals in the 2008
and 2009 Jackpot competition and compete for the Jackpot money earned from the
Stallion Service Auctions.

National Show Horse Registry - Press Release
At the Board meeting held on December 9th and 10th, 2006, your National Show
Horse Registry Board of Directors reversed the decision previously made
concerning the District Shows. The Three “ Mega Districts”, will be held in 2007
due to prior contractual, and verbal commitments. However, beginning in 2008 the
eight District shows will be once again offered through out the country.
Funding for these shows will be: $10,400 per show.
Champion: $300
Reserve: $200
Remaining Top 5: $100
We are strongly encouraging the District Shows to offer Show Horse Alliance
classes. Shows that had previously held District Championships are encouraged to
apply for approval beginning in 2008. Each show will have to be approved by the
NSHR Board of Directors before becoming “The District Championship Show”.
The NSHR Board would like to thank all the advertisers that made it possible to produce a magazine we can be proud of. Please contact Cindy at (937)935-1753 or cindyc@infinet.com to make your advertising commitment for 2007.
Horses may show at Finals in all eligible classes whether qualified or not. However, if a horse is not qualified, they will only be eligible for jackpotted prize money.
The Show Horse Alliance Futurity is on hold until
further notice.
